COOKING TIPS
SIMPLY SIMON SAYS…
Make the texture count
For the perfect texture, cook the macaroni past al dente until it is very soft so it can absorb the dressing. Boil the potatoes until they are fork-tender, then let both cool completely before mixing into the salad.
Use the right tuna
Use solid white tuna packed in water best texture. Drain it thoroughly and flake it with a fork before folding it into the salad so it distributes evenly without making the dish heavy.
Let it sit before serving
Let the mac salad sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. This allows the macaroni to fully absorb the dressing and lets the flavors meld together perfectly.
